Police are searching for a man they say assaulted a patron at the Brickhouse Tavern early Friday morning.
According to a news release from the Williamsburg Police Department, a deputy was approached by a citizen on the 700 block of Scotland Street around 1:25 a.m. Friday, who reported that there was a man standing outside the Green Leafe Cafe with “a significant amount of blood coming out of his mouth.”
The deputy approached the man, who told police he had been assaulted at the Brickhouse Tavern. Medics then transported the victim to Riverside Doctor’s Hospital, where he was treated and released for his injuries, the release stated.
According to police, an investigating officer was able to identify a person of interest in the assault from security video footage of the business.
The Williamsburg Police Department is currently looking to identify the person, pictured, in the case.
