Norfolk needs volunteers for Project Homeless Connect

homelessnessThe city of Norfolk is looking for volunteers to assist with the 22nd Norfolk Homeless Connect on Jan. 25. More than 400 homeless adults are expected to attend, according to city officials.

Volunteers will be needed to escort the event’s guests. The city is also looking for licensed barbers to provide haircuts. All volunteers must be 18 years or older.

The Project Homeless Connect happens twice a year at the Norfolk Scope. Volunteer hours are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Breakfast and lunch are provided to volunteers.
