
Mary A. Dooley, 74, passed away Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, at her home.
Born in Bronx, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Frances Babineau. She was preceded in death by her son, Floyd W. Dooley Jr.; and son-in-law, Roy Wayne Duncan.
She worked for federal civil service for 13 years. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and the Sunshine Club, Red Hat Society, and treasurer of the Marine Staff NCO’s Wives Club at MCAS New River in North Carolina for three years.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Floyd W. Dooley Sr.; daughters, Gloriann Maddox, and her husband, Kendol Maddox Sr., Kathleen Duncan, and Mary Lynne Pennington, and her husband, Donald Pennington Sr.; grandchildren, Kendol Maddox Jr., Scott Maddox, Krystal Maddox, Donald Pennington Jr., Matthew Pennington, Christopher Duncan, Kathryn Duncan, William Dooley and Amy Dooley; great-grandchildren, Kailey Maddox, Kye Maddox, Kayden Maddox, Andrew Dooley and Anabelle Ruley; and sister, Ann Haas.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 13, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Father Merlito Abiog officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Holy Spirit Catholic Church or the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters.
