A court appearance scheduled for Monday for Robert Copley, Jr. and Jennifer Kendrick, a couple charged with operating a mobile meth lab out of a minivan, was continued until Jan. 4.

Copley, Jr., 38 of Williamsburg, was charged Oct. 6 with possession of a schedule I or II drug, conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamines, manufacture of methamphetamines, and possession of marijuana after a vehicle he was in was involved in a traffic accident in York County.

In a criminal complaint filed in York General District Court, Copley, Jr. stated that Kendrick and himself were methamphetamine users. He also stated that Kendrick had a “$200 a day meth habit,” according to the complaint.

Kendrick, 27 of Norfolk, was the operator of the vehicle involved in the traffic accident and was charged possession of a schedule I or II drug.

In a separate criminal complaint, Kendrick reportedly identified a syringe and bottle cap in her possession as containing methamphetamines.

The case was continued at the request of the defense, according to York County-Poquoson Commonwealth Attorney Benjamin Hahn.
