Walsingham Boys’ Varsity Soccer remains undefeated at Jason Soucek Tournament

Jason Soucek Tournament at Christchurch School:

Semifinal match: St. Christophers 2 Walsingham Academy 2

Halftime score: WA 1 STC 0

St. Christophers came back from a two goal deficit by scoring the last goal on a PK with less than two minutes remaining in regulation. Solvi Bjornsson scored two goals for the Trojans. Both teams remained undefeated on the season with the tie.

Records: WA 5-0-2 STC 4-0-1

Walsingham Academy then played host Christchurch. The Trojans battled courageously and earned another 2-2 tie to finish the tournament 1-0-2. Goal scorers were Solvi Bjornsson and Tredell Blow for the Trojans. The Seahorses scored the equalizer with less than 4 minutes remaining on a corner kick.

Records: WA 5-0-3 Christchurch 1-1-1

The Trojans next play on the road against Richmond Christian on Tuesday.
