Walmart will begin offering curbside grocery pickup in the next week at four Hampton Roads stores.
The service requires no extra fee. Shoppers can buy their groceries online, schedule a same-day pickup time and collect the purchase outside the store without leaving their vehicle.
Hampton Roads is one of eight new markets where Walmart is expanding the service this month.
“We’ll have a steady cadence of more expansions throughout the year,” said Scott Markley, a senior national media relations manager, by email today. “Customers who use this service rave about it and we’re looking forward to introducing it to more customers this year.”
Here are the Hampton Roads stores that are getting the service and the start dates:
- 6259 College Drive, Suffolk, April 19
- 12401 Jefferson Ave., Newport News, April 19
- 2021 Lynnhaven Parkway, Virginia Beach, April 20
- 632 Grassfield Parkway, Chesapeake, April 20
