VIRGINIA BEACH — What police are calling a security incident involving multiple agencies at Little Creek Base has halted traffic near the Lesner Bridge until further notice.
Virginia Beach Police said Emergency Communications received information on the incident just before 5 p.m. but provided few other details.
As a result, officials closed Shore Drive to westbound traffic at the Lesner Bridge and to eastbound drivers near Jack Frost Road. Northbound traffic on Independence Boulevard is also stopped at Northampton Boulevard.
No other details were released.
