A local nonprofit focused on helping young people and families held its annual Spring Fling golf tournament and raised nearly $20,000.
Golfers were not deterred by heavy winds on April 4 during the 2015 Earl “Tuggy” Young Spring Fling, joining teams of four to participate in the annual tournament at the Williamsburg National Golf Club.
Participants were treated to a buffet luncheon and a silent auction at the Corner Pocket in New Town after the tournament.
All of the proceeds went to Bacon Street’s programs for treating teen substance abuse and other behavioral disorders.
