Chesapeake Experience to Hold Annual Wine Tasting Fundraiser

Chesapeake ExperienceA local nonprofit is once again serving up wine and food to raise funds for more educational experiences on the water.

The sixth annual wine tasting fundraiser benefits the Chesapeake Experience, which offers educational activities on the water for students, teachers and the general public.

The event will be held at Eco Discovery Park, located at 2054 Jamestown Road, and will feature samples of local wines, food, door prizes, raffles, a silent auction and live music by Brother Lucy, a Newport News-based cover band.

Adrienne Richardson, Chesapeake Experience’s assistant director, said the the wines sampled will be from Saude Creek Vineyards, Trader Joe’s and Tinto’s Wine and Cheese Shop.

The food is provided by Custom Culinary Connections and Trader Joe’s.

The concert will be held under a heated tent at the park from 6 to 9:30 p.m. March 28.
