In one day, a hashtag and a plea earned Heritage Humane Society more than $13,000.

The shelter participated in #GivingTuesday, an online fundraising campaign Dec. 2, posting on social media, promoting “unselfie” photos and encouraging donations.

New Town Dental Arts, along with Board and Auxiliary member Jim Mundy, stepped up to match funds. The dental practice recently presented a check for its $1,500 matching donation.

Now, New Town Dental Arts is turning its philanthropic attention to the FISH food pantry. It is holding a drive for canned goods, cereals, peanut butter and jelly through Feb. 28.

The office is located at 4939 Courthouse St. Call 259-0741 to learn more.
