Iron-Bound Gym splashed its support for the Alzheimer’s Association.

The New Town gym sponsored an aqua zumbathon Aug. 23 at the New Town Pool. The event took zumba — an aerobic dance fitness program — to the pool, with proceeds going to the Southeastern Virginia Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.

The aqua zumbathon raised $600 toward support and care for those affected by the illness, along with Alheimer’s research on treatment and the search for a cure.
