Music
In honor of the 50th anniversary of “A Hard Day’s Night,” Retro Daddio will present an evening of Beatles tribute music. Bryan Forrest starts playing at 3 p.m. Saturday.
The Friday concert of Danielle Bradbery, season four winner of NBC’s “The Voice,” with Bria Kelly, a Smithfield native who made it to the top 10 of the most recent season of the singing competition, has been rescheduled for Aug. 14 due to predicted weather conditions. Bradbery will perform instead with Lee Brice at the Langley Speedway in Hampton. Tickets purchased for Friday’s concert at Lake Matoaka Amphitheater on the campus of the College of William & Mary will be honored at the August performance.
Hear national country act Highway 101 at New Town Music Fest. Gates open at 5 p.m. Saturday and Johnny St. Clair will perform at 5:30 p.m. Highway 101 plays at 7 p.m. Read more about what brought the band to the area.
This weekend, Prime46forty starts a summer of live music every Saturday night. Local groups include Timeline, Good Shot Judy, Emme St. James and more. Music starts at 9:30 p.m.
Farmers Market
The Toano Farmers Market is open year-round on Saturday mornings starting at 8 a.m. at the corner of Forge Road and Richmond Road. The market features Bob’s Sausage Company, Rainbow Eggs, Heidi’s Home Grown, plus an array of produce vendors.
More than 40 vendors come to the Williamsburg Farmers Market with flowers, produce, baked goods, meat, cheese and more. The market in Merchants Square opens at 8 a.m. with Narissa Bond performing from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The James River Association will also have an exhibit.
Yorktown Market Days offer fresh produce, meat, seafood, coffee and art. Starting at 8 a.m. Saturdays, the market is held on Water Street.
