Master Gardeners Graduate

The James City County/Williamsburg Master Gardeners, a group that supports the Virginia Cooperative Extension in with public outreach and education on horticultural matters, recently celebrated the graduation of a class of interns.
These members completed course work and 70 volunteer hours, qualifying them for Master Gardener status. They were honored with a presentation of their work in the classroom and community, followed by a reception.
Current Master Gardeners are preparing for free home visits in February and early March, where they will teach homeowners research-based pruning practices in an effort to reduce diseases and the need for pesticides. Registration is open until Sunday for the next round of demonstrations. Click here for the online registration form.
