Next weekend, swing from the treetops while supporting other outdoor causes.
Go Ape!, an outdoor adventure course in Freedom Park, is hosting a fundraiser Dec. 7 and 8. The organization will donate $10 of every ticket sold on those days to the Williamsburg Botanical Garden and the Eastern Virginia Mountain Bike Association.
In addition to providing a wilderness adventure, Go Ape! is a company that strives to be socially and environmentally responsible. According to their website, they donate more than $30,000 a year to local causes.
The Williamsburg Botanical Garden is also located in Freedom Park, open from dusk to dawn daily with free admission.

The Eastern Virginia Mountain Bike Association unites those with an interest in cycling and an active lifestyle. The group fosters the sport of mountain biking by building and maintaining environmentally responsible trails, promoting proper trail use and sponsoring biking activities in the community.
Freedom Park has some of the trails that the association frequents for group rides.
