Williamsburg artist Lori Jakubow was one of 44 international artists who participated in the annual artCAN 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday, November 3.
The sale of Jakubow’s painting, titled “Tickled Pink,” contributed to the $40,000 the event raised for pancreatic cancer research for Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. Jakubow lost her husband Jake, who was a teacher at Bruton High School, to this disease in 2008.
In honor of November being Pancreatic Cancer Awareness month, she is donating a portion of all sales to pancreatic research. Visit her website for details. www.lorijakubow.com
