Williamsburg Floral and Gifts is celebrating the 18th annual FTD Good Neighbor Day event on Wednesday.
Beginning at 9 a.m., Williamsburg Floral and Gifts will give away 20 summer bouquets in bunches of a dozen free to anyone who visits the shop.
However, there is one catch. Elgin Morris, the owner of Williamsburg Floral and Gifts, asks that anyone who picks up a dozen free flowers keep one of the flowers for themselves and give the others away to 11 different people – spreading goodwill and friendship in the community.
“We hope that the people of Williamsburg will be able to get acquainted with new people or will renew an old friendship during FTD’s Good Neighbor Day,” Morris said. “We hope to help create a friendlier, more caring and compassionate world, starting right here in Williamsburg.”
Also that day, Williamsburg Floral and Gifts will be selling its Good Neighbor Day Daisy baskets, normally $35, for $25 during the store’s hours, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., while supplies last. The baskets are available for pick-up only.
FTD Good Neighbor Day is being celebrated for the 18th year throughout the United States and Canada at participating FTD floral shops as a day of celebrating good will toward all people. It is expected that hundreds of FTD Florists in North America will participate in this year’s FTD Good Neighbor Day event, giving away millions of free flowers and allowing people to spread goodwill and friendship in the community.
Williamsburg Floral and Gifts has been locally owned and operated for more than 30 years and is located at 701-P Merrimac Trail in the James York Plaza.
