POQUOSON— The Virginia Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame has announced its 2026 class of inductees and annual award honorees, recognizing individuals who have made a lasting impact on wrestling across the Commonwealth.
The induction ceremony will take place on April 11, 2026, in Glen Allen, VA, where the wrestling community will gather to celebrate these honorees and their contributions to the sport.
This year’s class reflects decades of dedication through coaching, officiating, leadership, and service. Wrestling continues to play a vital role in developing discipline, resilience, and character in Virginia’s youth, and these individuals exemplify those values.
Poquoson High School is at the center of statewide recognition as the Virginia Wrestling Hall of Fame announced its 2026 award winners.
Eric Decker was named Coach of the Year, while Jared Goodson earned Student-Athlete of the Year honors for Class 2.
The announcement comes as part of the Hall of Fame’s 2026 induction class, which will be honored April 11 in Glen Allen.
Other honorees include Brian Muellner as Official of the Year, along with student-athletes from across Virginia, including Sophia Slaughter, Cash Colbert, Caleb Gibson, Brady Hand, and Tyler Traves.
“This recognition reflects the strength of wrestling across the Commonwealth,” said Karl Spinnenweber.
