LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Competing against many of the nation’s top gymnasts, William & Mary standout Zachary Patrick tied for 12th on parallel bars at the prestigious Winter Cup on Friday evening.
Patrick posted a 13.2, his second-best score in the event this season, en route to defeating 18 other gymnasts on the apparatus.
A list of qualifiers for Sunday’s finals will be announced later this weekend.
Patrick qualified for the Winter Cup following an exceptional performance at the West Point Open where he posted a career-high 13.7 on parallel bars.
Patrick is W&M’s first gymnast to qualify for the national meet since Michael Deitz ’15 competed at the 2016 Winter Cup on high bar, floor and vault.
