NEWPORT NEWS — The starting time for this Saturday’s men’s basketball game at the University of Mary Washington has been changed. The game will now tip off at 6:00 p.m. at Ron Rosner Arena on the UMW campus in Fredericksburg.
The game will be the regular season finale for both schools. Christopher Newport is 20-4 and riding a six-game winning streak heading into Saturday’s action. The Captains are now ranked tenth in the nation in the latest weekly poll from D3hoops.com.
John Krikorian‘s squad is coming off a 71-55 victory over Mary Washignton at the Freeman Center last Saturday. In addition to winning its last six games, CNU has also been victorious in 11 of its last 12.
Mary Washington is presently 10-13 on the year, and the Eagles will play Salisbury Tuesday night. The game in Salisbury, Md., had been scheduled for Wednesday, but has been moved up due to the wintry weather in the forecast.
