RICHMOND — William & Mary graduate student Satchel Benn and freshman Oliver Hague were named the CAA Doubles Team of the Week for the second time this season on Tuesday.
The Tribe pair went 2-0 and pushed its win streak to 12 matches with victories at the No. 2 spot in W&M triumphs over Richmond and Presbyterian. Benn and Hague were also named the CAA Doubles Team of the Week on Feb 20.
Benn and Hague downed Richmond’s Daniel Kliebhan and Sebastian Miano, 6-4, to help the Tribe to the doubles point in a 5-2 win over the Spiders on Wednesday. The duo followed with a 6-2 win over Presbyterian’s Austin Skoog and Denim Yadav on Saturday. Benn and Hague are 17-5 on the season, including a 13-4 mark at No. 2.
Benn (No. 1) and Hague (No. 4) both went 2-0 in singles action in the Tribe’s victories over Richmond and Presbyterian.
The Tribe hosts the 2024 CAA Championship, beginning Thursday, April 18, at the Mackesy Tennis Center. W&M is the No. 5 seed and received an opening-round bye. The Green and Gold opens with No. 4 Monmouth on Friday, April 19, at noon.
