RICHMOND — William & Mary juniors Hedda Gurholt and Ine Stange were named the CAA Doubles Team of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.
Gurholt and Stange led the Tribe to the doubles point in league wins over UNCW and Charleston. The duo went 2-0 at the No. 2 spot as W&M ran it win streak to four matches and its win streak against CAA competition to 17 matches.
The Tribe tandem rolled over Alicia Eberwein and Stela Joksimovic, 6-1, in the Tribe’s 6-1 win at UNCW. Gurholt and Stange provided the clinching point at Charleston, topping Peyton Brotzman and McKenzie Daniel, 6-2.
Gurholt and Stange improved to 6-4 at No. 2 doubles. They also combined to go 4-0 in singles action as the Tribe started CAA play at 2-0.
The Tribe continues league play by hosting Hofstra on Saturday, March 23, at 1 p.m. at the Mackesy Tennis Center, weather permitting. W&M welcomes Temple to Williamsburg on Sunday, March 24, at 11 a.m.
