W&M Women’s Gymnastics Posts Seventh-Best Score in School History at Towson Tri-Meet

TOWSON, Md. — The William & Mary women’s gymnastics team concluded its regular season slate by posting the seventh-best score in school history (194.825) at a tri-meet hosted by Towson on Friday evening.

The impressive performance marked the second consecutive meet in which W&M recorded one of the top scores in program history, as it earned the school’s sixth-best total (194.925) last weekend at Temple.

Towson claimed the team title with a 197.500 and was followed by George Washington (197.200) and W&M (194.825).

In addition to the Tribe’s impressive overall total, it also registered the third-best score in program history on bars (49.000) and equaled the school’s 10th-best performance on beam (48.700).

Catherine Bare highlighted W&M’s individual performances by tying for second on bars, as she equaled the second-best score in school history in the event with a career-high 9.900.

Also leading the Tribe were Sarah Kuper (9.750, equaled season high) and Sofia Huang (9.750) on vault, Caroline Blatchford on beam (9.825, career high) and Michelle Ngo on floor (9.800).
