W&M Women’s Gymnastics Posts Sixth-Best Score in School History at Temple Quad Meet

PHILADELPHIA — The William & Mary women’s gymnastics team posted the sixth-best score in school history and its highest total this season en route to a second-place finish at a quad meet hosted by Temple on Sunday afternoon.

Temple claimed the team title with a 196.225, while W&M’s 194.925 bested LIU (194.700) and West Chester (193.800).

In addition to the Tribe’s impressive overall total, it also recorded season highs in three of the four events — bars (48.875), beam (48.725) and floor (48.850). The beam score ranks tied for seventh in program history, while the bars performance ranks 10th.

Sarah Wozniak highlighted W&M’s individual performances by tying for first on bars, as she equaled her career high (9.850).

Grace Costello also posted a top-three finish and tied for third on beam with a career-best 9.825.

Sarah Kuper and Hannah Burke led the Tribe on vault, as both posted a 9.750 to equal their career highs, while Michelle Ngo registered W&M’s top score on floor (9.825).
