W&M Women’s Gymnastics Earns Season-High Score at West Chester Tri-Meet

WEST CHESTER, Pa. — The William & Mary women’s gymnastics team posted its best score of the season and placed second at a tri-meet hosted by West Chester on Friday evening.

West Chester edged W&M for the team title with a 194.375, while W&M totaled a 194.275. Centenary finished third with a 188.075.

In addition to the impressive team total, the Tribe posted the meet’s top scores on vault (48.350) and bars (48.575) and recorded season highs in three events — bars (48.575), beam (48.650) and floor (48.700). W&M’s beam score ranks tied for the 10th-best performance on the apparatus in program history.

Caroline Blatchford led the Tribe’s individual efforts and tied for first on bars with a 9.750, while Hannah Burke (9.725) and Michelle Ngo (9.800) tied for second on vault and floor, respectively.

Catherine Bare and Ascha Laird also posted top-three finishes on bars with a 9.725, while Madeline Frazier did the same on beam with a 9.825.
