ANNAPOLIS, Md. — The William & Mary men’s gymnastics team placed fifth at the Navy Open on Saturday afternoon.
Ohio State claimed the team title with a 397.3 and was followed by Navy (391.25), Penn State (385.2), Springfield (372.55) and W&M (366.1).
Sam Lee led the Tribe with a pair of top-10 finishes, as he placed third on vault (14.7) and sixth on parallel bars (13.6). His impressive score on vault was a career-high and ranks tied for second in W&M’s record book.
Trenton Peazant (floor – T7th, 13.15) and Jared Noyman (parallel bars – 8th, 13.45) also earned top-10 placements.
As a team, W&M’s best performance came on vault where it totaled the meet’s third-best score (70.4).
