WILLIAMSBURG — William & Mary lacrosse head coach Colleen Dawson has announced the Tribe’s schedule for the upcoming 2024 season.
The exciting slate features 17 regular-season contests, which is highlighted by nine home games that will be played at Martin Family Stadium. Additionally, W&M will square off against five opponents that competed in the 2023 NCAA Tournament.
Four of the Tribe’s first five games will be played on the road, as it travels to George Mason (Feb. 9), Richmond (Feb. 21), George Washington (Feb. 24) and VCU (Feb. 28). The lone home contest during the opening five-game stretch will be against Old Dominion on Feb. 17.
W&M will then close out its non-conference slate with four consecutive home games, coming against East Carolina (March 2), Maryland (March 6), Penn (March 9) and Longwood (March 17). Maryland and Penn both earned bids to the 2023 NCAA Tournament and advanced to the second round.
The Tribe will open its CAA slate at Hofstra (March 22) and Monmouth (March 24), while its other conference road games include trips to Elon (April 14) and Campbell (April 27).
W&M’s home league slate features matchups versus Delaware (March 30), Towson (April 6), Stony Brook (April 11) and Drexel (April 20).
The CAA’s top four teams will vie for the conference title and automatic NCAA Tournament bid on May 2 and 4 at Stony Brook.
