W&M Lacrosse Announces Nine-Player Recruiting Class

WILLIAMSBURG — William & Mary lacrosse head coach Colleen Dawson has announced that nine student-athletes will join the program for the 2022-23 academic year.

The talented incoming class features five midfielders, two defenders, an attacker and a goalie.

“We are thrilled to welcome the class of 2026 to our Tribe,” Dawson said. “This class brings depth at every position, and we cannot wait to watch their immediate impact move our team forward. It is an exciting time for us as a program, and we look forward to these nine incoming freshmen connecting with our returners to continue to build upon our past successes.”

The following is a brief look at the Tribe’s 2022-23 recruiting class:

Sophie Cipolla
Midfield
Glenwood, Md. (Glenelg High School) 

“Sophie is a dynamic and agile midfielder who is very familiar with the Tribe. Her older sister, Sarah will be a senior this year, and we are excited to see what they can bring to our program, especially on the attacking end.”
