Set 1: Walsingham 27, Steward 25
The teams went back and forth, with neither being able to build a lead bigger than two. Walsingham led 8-6, 11-9, and 12-10, and Steward would eventually claim a 17-15 lead. The Trojans were a point away at 24-23 and 25-24 before finally claiming the set with senior Lejla Topcic serving. Senior Chelsea Marcombe accounted for five kills, followed closely by Topcic with four.
Set 2: Walsingham 25, Steward 16
The second set was a very different story, with the Trojans racing to an 8-0 lead thanks to service from sophomore Gabby Deschenes and a pair of kills from Topcic. The Spartans would regroup, moving within four points on three different occasions, the last being 16-12. But the Trojans received three straight block kills from sophomore Cat Williams to reclaim momentum for good. They put the set away on another three-point run that included a strong kill from sophomore Olivia Hinojosa.
Set 3: Walsingham 25, Steward 19
Steward was the team to jump ahead early, staking leads of 4-0 and 5-1. The Trojans used a five-point run, off a pair of kills from Chelsea Marcombe, to take a 7-2 lead, and went ahead for good at 10-8 off kills from senior Grayson Norris, Chelsea Marcombe, and an ace from Olivia Hinojosa. After falling behind by as many as five, Steward climbed back to 17-16, only to fall victim to a four-point run including three aces from Cat Williams. The Trojans would put the set and the match away on kills from Olivia Hinojosa and, finally, Lejla Topcic. Chelsea Marcombe led the team with five kills.
