The Williamsburg Christian Academy boys basketball team earned a handful of All-State honors on Friday.
Among the honors received were WCA senior Xavier Green earning the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Player of the Year award for Division III schools.
Green, an Old Dominion University commit, averaged 15 points per game and 9.8 rebounds per game for the Eagles.
Another notable award was given to WCA Head Coach Chris Brown, who was tabbed as the VISAA Coach of the Year for boys basketball in Division III.
Under Brown’s guidance, the Eagles reached the VISAA semifinals before falling 69-64 to Virginia Academy.
“It is truly an honor to represent WCA at this level, and I give credit to my assistant coaches and players for meeting me 100 percent of the way to achieve our goals at a high level,” he said in a news release.
The Eagles also had two other players earn recognition for their play this season.
Junior Cle’Von Greene, who led the Eagles in scoring with 17.8 points per game, was named a first-team All-State selection by the VISAA. Additionally, senior Andre Brown was named a second-team All-State selection.
