Volleyball: WCA Sweeps Portsmouth Christian

WCA athleticsThe Williamsburg Christian Academy volleyball team notched its first win of the season by defeating Portsmouth Christian in straight games Thursday.

Williamsburg Christian Academy handled Portsmouth Christian in each set, winning 25-18, 25-20, 25-20.

Patricia Davie led the Eagles with 18 kills, while Nicole Musfelt helped facilitate the offense with 25 assists and a team-high 11 aces.

Anah Taylor chipped in seven kills and four aces in the win, which moves Williamsburg Christian Academy to 1-1 on the year.

The Eagles will play their next opponent, Hampton Christian, on the road at 5:15 p.m. Sept. 4.
