
Reeves Trott, who was recently crowned Conference 25 Player of the Year, scored a pair of goals and added an assist to help Lafayette earn a 4-1 road win against Huguenot in the 3A East quarterfinal.
Trott scored on an unassisted goal in the first half, which was interrupted Monday because of weather concerns.
With Lafayette holding a 1-0 advantage at the break, the Rams pulled away from Huguenot in the second half.
Justin Wilson scored an unassisted goal to put Lafayette up 2-0 before Jason Eckenrode found the back of the net off a Trott assist. The final goal of the game came when Trott finished a shot from a Steven Wigley assist.
The win means the Rams (12-4-2) will travel to take on James Monroe at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
