The York boys soccer team scored a 3-0 home victory against Conference 25 foe New Kent on Monday.
Joe Riddick netted York’s first goal of the game as he headed in a corner kick from Alasdair Thomson in the 15th minute of play.
Bailey McClure built on the 1-0 lead by finessing a shot into the right corner of the net off a back-heel pass from Karsten Faciszewski with roughly 1:30 remaining in the first half.
The Falcons held a 2-0 lead at halftime.
Midway through the second half, Max Poelker scored an unassisted goal from about 25 yards out that landed in the left side of the New Kent goal.
York goalkeeper Jacob Reimers had a quiet night, recording two saves during the shutout victory.
The Falcons (6-0) will continue their season against West Point at 7 p.m. Thursday at home.

Tabb Earns First Win of the Season
Reese Wolf and Allen Blair each found the back of the net during Tabb’s 2-0 road win against Conference 19 opponent Poquoson on Monday.
With 15 minutes left in the first half, Tabb’s Andrew Jurewicz sent a free kick into the box from the left half of the field and roughly 35 yards away from goal. Wolf sprinted behind the line of defenders and volleyed the ball out of midair into the back of the net for the game’s opening score.
The Tigers carried a 1-0 lead heading into the half.
Poquoson came out aggressively in the second half, forcing Tabb (1-1) defenders to make point-blank saves close to goal as the last line of defense.
After withstanding the Poquoson threat earlier in the half, Tabb’s Derek Cook countered in a big way. Cook sprinted past the Islander defense and put a shot on goal with 12 minutes left in the game.
Cook’s shot ricocheted off the post and fell at the feet of Blair, who put the ball into the back of the net past a sprawled out Poquoson goalkeeper.
Tabb will play a road game against Lafayette at 6 p.m. Thursday.
