With kickoff to its upcoming inaugural season in the National Premier Soccer League a month away, the Virginia Legacy’s new professional soccer team recently announced its finalized schedule for this summer’s slate of games.
Legacy 76, the name the organization chose for its newly formed professional soccer team two weeks ago, will play an 11-game schedule consisting of six home games and five away games beginning May 17 when they take on United F.C. (Chesterfield) at 7 p.m. in Wanner Stadium.
Legacy 76 will compete in the Mid-Atlantic Conference of the NPSL, which is the largest amateur soccer league in the U.S. with 77 teams.
Their Mid-Atlantic opponents include 2013 NPSL champion RVA FC, the Major League Soccer’s D.C. United U23s, Chesterfield United and fellow newcomers ASA Charge (Md.) and Virginia Beach City FC.
