Grafton def. Warhill 25-20, 27-25, 26-28, 14-25, 15-6
Kendall Mahoney tallied 16 kills, seven digs, four blocks, three assists and a pair of aces as Grafton held off Warhill’s rally from two sets down to win in five games on the road Tuesday night. Hannah Olson added 16 digs and 13 kills in the win while Savannah Baxley chipped in with six blocks and four kills for the Clippers (14-4). Alex Koon led Warhill (12-3) with 18 kills and 10 digs. Megan Harrigan added 25 assists, 11 digs and five aces.
Jamestown def. York 25-13, 25-15, 25-15
Jamestown clinched at least a share of the Bay Rivers District title after sweeping York in three games Tuesday. Monique St. Cyr led the way with 23 assists and four aces while Maria Esch finished with nine digs and seven kills for the Eagles (18-1, 15-0) who improved their unbeaten district streak to 15 games.
Lafayette def. Smithfield 25-10, 25-12, 25-18
Kiersten Langerud spiked 15 kills, Alyssa Alpino finished with 15 digs and Abby Oren added nine kills and eight digs as Lafayette defeated Smithfield in three games on the road Tuesday.
Walsingham Academy def. Norfolk Academy 25-16, 25-22, 25-23
Walsingham Academy honored its five seniors — setter Maggie Harris, libero Samantha Subbert, middle blocker Kara Player, opposite Rajavi Patel and defensive specialist Shelton Piland — by sweeping Norfolk Academy in three games Tuesday. Harris (14 assists, 14 kills and 11 digs) and Emma Schellpeper (12 kills, 12 digs, two aces) led the Trojans with strong all-around performances. Jenna Hamra added 14 assists, eight digs, four kills and three aces in the win.
Nansemond Suffolk Academy def. Hampton Roads Academy 25-12, 25-18, 25-15
Laura Killough posted 20 digs, Leanna Yevak added 22 assists and nine digs and Bri Underwood finished with 11 kills and seven digs as HRA (17-8, 5-3 TCIS) fell to unbeaten Nansemond Suffolk Academy (9-0 TCIS) in three games Tuesday night.

Bridget Henzel scored the first goal and Emma Johnson provided the second while keeper Jess Wiggins made 10 saves in goal as Warhill shutout visiting New Kent 2-0 at Wanner Stadium on Tuesday.

Mauri Ware scored two first-half goals on assists from Tess Lawson as HRA took a 2-0 halftime lead and cruised to a 4-0 victory Tuesday. Madeline Montgomery scored on an assist from Anne Waverly Spencer and Grace Bowen added another goal in the second half for the Navigators, who improved to 11-6 with the win. NSA keeper Madi Glynn finished with 21 saves in the loss.

Devon Nosaka scored to give Williamsburg Christian Academy the lead for good as the No. 3 Eagles held off No. 6 Hampton Christian 2-0 in a Metro Conference quarterfinal Tuesday night. WCA will play at No. 2 seeded Portsmouth Christian in Thursday’s semifinals.

No. 7 Walsingham fell to No. 2 Norfolk Academy 2-0 on the road in a Tidewater Conference quarterfinal Tuesday night. The Trojans, seeded No. 13 in the latest VISAA, will await next week’s poll to see if they advance to the state tournament. The top 12 teams advance.

No. 4 Hampton Roads Academy lost a 5-4 shootout against visiting Norfolk Collegiate in the opening round of the Tidewater Conference tournament Tuesday night.

Wiktoria Plawska and Joyce Fields won at No. 1 and No. 2 singles before teaming up for an 8-1 win in doubles as Hampton Roads Academy breezed past Nansemond Suffolk Tuesday to improve to 9-4 (5-2 TCIS) on the season.
