Mock Scores Seven TDs as HRA Football Crushes Hampton Christian, 75-24

Quincy Mock rushed for 303 yards and scored seven touchdowns as Hampton Roads Academys football team put on a scoring clinic in defeating Hampton Christian in a Monday evening makeup game.

The game was originally scheduled for Friday, but was pushed back due to unplayable field conditions.

Mock, who has now rushed for 300 yards in a game twice this season, scored four of his seven touchdowns in the second quarter alone as HRA (5-2) seized a 54-24 halftime lead.

Mock then returned the opening kickoff of the second half 74 yards for his sixth touchdown of the game. He played sparingly during the final two quarters but added a 61-yard touchdown reception to give him a career-high seven TDs.

HRA’s defense, which allowed 225 yards of total offense in the first half, held undermanned Hampton Christian, which dressed only 14 players, to just 16 total yards of offense during the second half.

Quarterbacks Thomas Bagley and Evan Piercy each threw one touchdown pass in place of former starting quarterback Duncan Wingfield, who is out for the season after breaking his thumb during practice last week.
