Nearly 200 people participated in Warhill High’s inaugural ‘March of the Lions’ 5K and one-mile fun run this past weekend.
The school-wide spirit event, which was hosted by Warhill’s PTSA on Saturday, also featured a craft fair, student art exhibit and performances by Warhill’s jazz band, choir, orchestra and cast of the spring musical “Guys and Dolls,” as well as a car show that awarded a one-year parking pass to the winner and a paper products and cleaning supply drive for Avalon Women’s Shelter.
One hundred seventy-five runners ranging from ages nine to 78 participated in the 5K with 15 more taking part in the fun.
“The event grew and became more than we could dream,” said Pam Hrncir, president of Warhill’s PTSA.
Warhill parent Keith Reagan captured the spirit of the day in a video, seen by hundreds already. View it by clicking here.
