Several local players have been named to the all Tidewater and Metro Conference boys soccer teams that were announced recently.
Three players from Williamsburg Christian Academy were named to the all-Metro Conference team while two from Walsingham and three from Hampton Roads Academy earned all-Tidewater Conference honors.
WCA junior Devon Nosaka, who led the Eagles with a team-high 20 points and nine goals, earned first-team honors in the Metro Conference while teammates Luke Pheifer, a sophomore goalkeeper, and Will Gibson, a sophomore striker, were named to the second team.
In the Tidewater Conference, HRA’s Latane Harris, a senior captain who led the Navigators to a 5-3 conference mark with a team-high 36 points (16 goals, 6 assists), and senior defender Dave Maser were named to the first team along with Walsingham goalkeeper Patrick Gillespie, who posted one shutout and 115 saves in 15 games this season.
Walsingham’s Chris Ciccone and HRA’s Cullen Schaubach were recognized with second-team honors.
