WILLIAMSBURG — Williamsburg REALTORS members recently volunteered alongside Habitat for Humanity’s construction team to raise the walls of a new home in James City County for the Robinson family.
The association notes this milestone follows years of collaboration with Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg in fundraising efforts and marks a significant step in the Williamsburg REALTORS (WAAR) Raising The Roof project. Since 2022, WAAR has raised $110,000 in partnership with Habitat for Humanity to support affordable housing initiatives.
The associations said these efforts highlight its commitment to strengthening neighborhoods, creating housing opportunities, and making a lasting impact in the Williamsburg community.
Beyond the physical construction, volunteers took time to write personal blessings and
messages on the newly erected walls that WAAR said symbolize the hope and goodwill that will fill the home for years to come.
“This experience was incredibly rewarding,” said Crisney Brooks, 2025 WAAR President. “To
stand side by side with Habitat for Humanity team and homeowner, Ms. Robinson, and see our efforts come to life in such a tangible way is truly inspiring. We’re not just building a
house — we’re helping to build a future for a deserving family.”
