WILLIAMSBURG — The Williamsburg British Car Club’s (WBCC) 22nd annual British and European Car Show will take place Saturday, April 23 at The Shops at High Street, 1430 High St.
The event is a popular-vote car show with all registered cars placed in a class for judging and awards. Classes will be determined by preregistered entries.
Balloting for Best in Class will be conducted by the registrants. The Chairman’s Best will be judged by three WBCC members.
A portion of the car show’s proceeds will go towards The Arc of Greater Williamsburg, a local nonprofit organization which serves adults with developmental disabilities through community events and advocacy.
There will be door prizes and a 50-50 raffle.
The show field will be open from 9 to 11 a.m. The show itself will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with food from on-site restaurants available. Balloting will close at noon and awards handed out at 2 p.m. or earlier.
This year’s featured Marque is Elizabeth II. As Queen Elizabeth II has many cars, several of which she drives, there will be two featured classes. The “Royal Business” fleet, which takes the Queen to her important activities, and consists of vehicles from Rolls-Royce, Daimler, and Bentley. “Royal Toys,” her personal fleet, consists of vehicles from Range Rover, Aston Martin, and Jaguar.
Cars must be parked with their assigned class to be eligible for awards with trailer parking available nearby. All cars must be driven onto the show field under their own power.
Car show dash plaques will be given to all preregistered vehicles.
Preregistration must be done by April 9. The registration link can be found on the website.
