UPDATE: Art By the River is Accepting Artist Applications Through *Feb. 8

YORKTOWN — Yorktown’s 9th Annual Art At The River juried art show is set for May 8 at Riverwalk Landing, 331 Water St.

The event features a variety of different artistic mediums such as photography, hand-crafted copper pieces, watercolor paintings and much more.

Registration for this year’s show is open until *Feb. 8. Anyone interested in entering should go to the Art At The River website. All entries must be original work and fall into one of the following categories: paintings, pen and ink, poetry, glass, metalwork, fabric, jewelry, fiber, basketry, graphics or mixed media.

The event is presented by the Art at the River Committee in conjunction with York County and the Yorktown Foundation, with support from the Celebrate Yorktown Committee, the Economic Development Authority and the York County and Williamsburg Area Arts Commissions. 

For those just looking to go to the show, it will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is free and open to the public. There will be food and drinks available for purchase. For more information to see last years winners, go to the event website.
