
WEST POINT — The West Point Chamber of Commerce will kick off its annual Christmas on the Town celebration on Sunday, Dec. 5.
This year’s festive event will introduce six holiday-themed marketplaces spanning more than 10 blocks in downtown West Point: Poinsettia Point, Jingle Bell Park, Mistletoe Marketplace, Candy Cane Lane, Rudolph’s Reindeer Way and Frosty’s Open Air Marketplace.
The family-friendly event will include food, holiday shopping, live entertainment and more.
Christmas on the Town will kick off with a full day of festive events from 8 am. to 5 p.m, including Santa pancakes and waffles with The Grinch. There will be shopping and live entertainment in Jingle Bell Park, the Mistletoe Marketplace and Frosty’s Open Air Market.

Attendees can visit Rudolph’s Reindeer Way for a chili cook-off and steamed oyster bar before hopping on the free Polar Express shuttle to head over to Poinsettia Point for fresh cut wreaths and Business Bingo.
Visitors can take a stroll down Candy Cane Lane for the 65′ inflatable Lost Elf obstacle course and interactive Elf4Health Exercise Challenge. They can also cast their vote in the Candy Cane Classic Car competition.
Old Saint Nick himself will be at the North Pole to greet the community, while families can visit Mrs. Claus for a story time and photo session.
After the tree lighting ceremony on Main Street at 4:30 p.m., visitors can take guided driving tour with over 50 locations of Christmas lights and holiday decorations.
