Shane Jullian Smith, of Norfolk, Virginia, passed away peacefully at his home on September 28, 2026. He was born on February 17, 1972, to the late Phillip and Carol Smith.
Shane was a soft-spoken, kindhearted man whose loyalty and friendship meant so much to those fortunate enough to know him. He had a gentle spirit and a genuine warmth that made him a cherished friend. Though he may not have been the loudest person in the room, his kindness and quiet presence left a lasting impression on everyone around him.
Shane enjoyed spending time on the golf course with his friends, sharing laughs and making memories along the way. He was also a devoted fan of his beloved Dallas Cowboys and loved watching and talking football. When it came to college football, his heart belonged to the Alabama Crimson Tide. Whether cheering on his teams or discussing the latest game, his passion was unmistakable. Roll Tide!
Above all, Shane valued the friendships and connections he built throughout his life. He will be remembered for his kind heart, quiet nature, unwavering loyalty, and the memories he created with those he loved.
Shane leaves behind his beloved son, Troy Phillip Smith, and Troy’s fiancée, Brittany, who will be married on October 3. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends, especially those who shared his love of golf, football, and the simple joys of spending time together.
