Lisa Marie Patterson, 36, of Norfolk, Virginia, passed away suddenly at her home on September 1, 2026.
Lisa was born on May 6, 1990, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, to Mary Buckner and Richard Patterson. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
Lisa is survived by her mother, Mary Buckner; her sister, Kimberly Patterson; her beloved daughter, Avery Wass; her fiancé, Terrance Branch; her stepmother, Cynthia Patterson; and her nephew, Rowan Dunbar. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Patterson.
Lisa found joy in the simple things in life. She loved listening to music, soaking up the sunshine, shopping, spending time at the beach, and making memories with her fiancé. She was also devoted to her three beloved Chihuahuas, Atreyu, Sasha, and Hermione, who brought her great companionship and happiness.
One of Lisa’s proudest moments in life was the birth of her daughter, Avery, on February 2, 2010. Being a mother was a treasured part of who Lisa was, and the love she had for her daughter was immeasurable.
Those who knew Lisa will remember her infectious laugh and beautiful smile. She had a kindness that seemed to have no limits, always showing compassion and warmth toward others. Her presence brought light and joy to the people around her, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Lisa’s life may have been far too short, but the love she gave, the laughter she shared, and the memories she created will remain forever.
She will be deeply loved, forever missed, and never forgotten.
