Deborah Anne Goetz, 69 of Norfolk, VA passed away Sunday August 16, 2026 at Sentara Leigh Hospital, Virginia Beach, VA.
Debbie was born in Berwick, Pa. She is the daughter of the late Scott E. Bower and Darlene Grant Bower.
Debbie graduated from Berwick Area High School class of 1974. She worked locally at Walkers Jewelers and Tri-County Oil in Berwick before moving to Chicago, Il. She moved again to Norfolk, Va working with Meredith Construction Co, Inc in the accounting department in 1980 and worked her way to Controller prior to her retirement in 2024.
Debbie is survived by son, Steven Christopher Goetz of Norfolk, a sister Susan Morgan and husband Jim of Berwick, a brother Scott Bower Jr and wife Patti of Berwick, and a granddaughter Taylor Goetz of New Hampshire. She is also survived by nephews Michael Bower & fiance Emily Dower of Mifflinville, Matthew Bower and fiance Makenzy Bowes of Bloomsburg, a niece Amy Bandics and significant other Dallas Hooper of Berwick.
Debbie will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling to casinos and playing bingo. She also enjoyed playing cards and games with family and friends. She was an animal lover and enjoyed the company of her 4 legged friends.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, and by a brother Randy Bower.
In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held at this time. Because of her love of animals, memorial contributions in her name may be made to your local SPCA.
