Charles Edward Boy, 98, of Williamsburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026. He was born on April 3, 1928, in Byington, Tennessee, and graduated from Knoxville High School.

Charles proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 20 years, retiring as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. Following his naval career, he continued his professional life as Vice President of Connelly Container Corporation in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania.

A man of faith, Charles was a member of Olive Branch Christian Church in Williamsburg. He was also an avid golfer, a pastime he enjoyed throughout his life and continued to pursue until the age of 92.

Charles and his beloved wife of 70 years, Betty, shared a life filled with love for each other and their family.

He was preceded in death by his his beloved wife, Betty; his sister, Katherine Coldiron; and his great-grandson, Daniel Thomas Browning.

Charles is survived by his son, Wayne and his wife, Joyce; granddaughters, Jennifer Merriman and her husband, Nathan, and Rebecca Browning and her husband, Jason; and six great-grandchildren: Kaitlin, Brooke, Benjamin, Caroline, Ryan, and Tyler.

A graveside service will be held to celebrate and honor Charles’ life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Charles’ memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to your local Salvation Army.
