Paul Edward Brummett, 64, of Yorktown, VA, passed away on July 26, 2026.
Born in Williamsburg, VA, on November 26, 1961, Paul graduated from Bruton High School in 1980. His parents, Samuel E. Brummett and Ronda B. McDonald, preceded him in death.
Over the years, Paul worked for Jack L. Massey Construction and Howmet Aerospace, as well as the Virginia Regional Peninsula Jail and Middle Peninsula Regional Security Center as a correctional officer.
An avid hunter and fisherman his entire life, Paul enjoyed being in the outdoors as much as possible. Nicknamed ‘The Deer Slayer’, you would be certain to find him in the woods during hunting season. Although he appreciated a variety of sports, he was a Dallas Cowboys fan at heart. He also loved cooking homemade meals for his family.
Paul will be missed by his ex-wife, Leah K. Brummett; his sons, Benjamin Brummett (Kim) and Hunter Brummett (Cheyenne); his daughters, Erin Brummett and Samantha Brummett; his grandchildren, Caroline Brummett, Colt Brummett, Lila Brummett, and Walker Brummett; his sister, Krista Barley (David); and his close friends, Lee Carter and Gary Melton.
