Randall Rufus Brown was born on August 7, 1964, to Rufus Brown and Annette Hood Brown. He peacefully entered eternal rest on Saturday, July 11, 2026.
Born in Amityville, New York, Randy spent his formative years in Wyandanch, New York. He graduated from Wyandanch High School before continuing his education at SUNY Albany and Norfolk State University. He later made his home in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Although he spent many years in Virginia, Randy remained a proud New Yorker at heart and a devoted lifelong fan of the New York Giants, Mets, Yankees, and Knicks.
An entrepreneur by nature, Randy was a talented jewelry designer and the proud owner of Brittany’s Jewelry. He was a man of many interests and an avid collector who had a special appreciation for trading cards, shoes, and toys. Exceptionally handy, Randy enjoyed working on cars, tinkering, and fixing just about anything. His gentle spirit was reflected in his love for gardening and the special bond he shared with his cherished pets.
Above all, Randy will be remembered for his generosity, kindness, and unwavering willingness to help others. Family was at the heart of everything he did, and he found his greatest joy in caring for and supporting those he loved.
Randy leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Ngoc-Han Q. Vo; his loving daughters, Brittany Janae Brown of Raleigh, North Carolina, Brandee Jewels Brown of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Bria Jaelyn Brown of Virginia Beach, Virginia; his son-in-love, Codey-Le V. Richards of Suffolk, Virginia; and his two adored grandsons, Julian Douglass Brown and Jaylen Jules Hills.
He is also survived by his devoted sister, Merri A. Brown Childs (Brandon); his sisters, Renee Simmons (Craig) and Jacinda Shepard; his brothers, William Paschall and Martin Paschall; his mother-in-love, Hanh M. Bui; his brother-in-love, Joseph-Hieu T. Vo; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, extended family members, and lifelong friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Randy was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Ronald Samuel Brown; and his father-in-love, Trung T. Vo.
Though Randy’s presence will be deeply missed, his legacy of love, generosity, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
