Frances Mae Jenkins, 74, of Williamsburg, Virginia, entered eternal rest on July 9, 2026. She lived a life filled with grace, love, and devotion to her family.
Frances was an active member of Ebenezer Baptist Church from an early age. She was raised by Joe and Idene Crump in New Kent.
Frances lived a peaceful life, actively involved in her children’s lives—due to her husband’s profession as a shift worker—as well as her grandchildren’s lives up to her passing. In her free time, she was on the move: decorating her home, collecting antiques (knickknacks), and spending quality time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Clarice Mae Cotman; her sisters Madeline Crawford and Margaret Drew; brothers, Alonzo Cotman, Malcolm Cotman, Sr., and Vernon Cotman; aunts, Sylvia Johnson, Edith Lorraine Miffin, and Pauline Greene; and uncles, Jim Baker and Waddell Baker, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory with her beloved husband of 57-years, Clarence Jenkins, Jr.; children, Yvonne Jenkins, Freda Whiting, and Lamont Jenkins; grandchildren, Keith Jenkins, Devonte Braxton, Perry Whiting, Keyera Whiting, Lauren Taylor, Javon Thompson, and Julian West; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Taya, Kaleb, and Chloe; sisters, Clarice Wallace (Donnie), Pamela Crawley (John); and aunt, Catherine Towles along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and devoted friends.
A funeral service will be held 1PM Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at St. John Baptist Church, 8131 Roxbury Rd, Charles City, VA 23030. A viewing will be held from 5PM – 7PM Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, VA 23140.
