Rebecca Annette Myers, affectionately known to family and friends as “Becky,” peacefully entered eternal rest on June 30, 2026, at the age of 61.

Born on October 8, 1964, in Williamsburg, Virginia, Becky lived a life distinguished by compassion, generosity, unwavering faith, and a sincere commitment to serving others. Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Eunice Taylor and Clifford Myers Jr.; her siblings, Cynthia Taylor-Simpson and Clarence Taylor; and her nephew, Rico Taylor.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted child, Jamekia Perrin (Natasha); her grandson, Trajen Fox; and her great-grandson, Major London, each of whom brought her immense pride and joy. She is also survived by her siblings, Veronica Taylor and Rodney Taylor (April); her godchildren, James Vaughn III, Shekeema Paige, Sa’Riyah Taylor, and Virkeem Frazier; her special cousin, Terry Holmes McGilvery; and her special brother, Morris Randall, whose bond with Becky was one of enduring friendship and mutual respect. Her memory will also be cherished by her nieces and nephews, Sandra Taylor, Da’Neal Taylor, April Brown, Corey Taylor, Donevon Martin, Sheriah Martin, Richauna Taylor, Rashawn Harris, and their children.

Becky was blessed with friendships that became an extension of her family. She will be deeply missed by Laura Barlow, Cynthia Douglas, Faye Simon, Louise Smith, Shirley Moore, Ivy Paige, and countless others whose lives were enriched by her kindness, encouragement, and genuine concern for others. A proud graduate of Lafayette High School’s Class of 1983, Becky found great joy in baking, cooking, and sharing meals with those around her. She had a beautiful singing voice and was happiest when she could use her gifts to uplift others. Whether through a home-cooked meal, a heartfelt conversation, or a simple act of kindness, Becky was always willing to give of herself. She believed in caring for her community, extending grace to everyone she met, and making people feel seen and valued. Her welcoming spirit earned the affection of all who knew her.

Becky’s legacy is one of generosity, selflessness, and unconditional love. She leaves behind a family strengthened by her example, friendships enriched by her presence, and a community made better because she was part of it. Although her physical presence will be deeply missed, the memories she created, the lives she touched, and the love she shared will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew her.

A service to celebrate Becky’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2026, at Zion Baptist Church, with a viewing beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
