It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert John Holland Sr., also known as “Bob”, who passed away on June 27th, 2026, at the age of 88.
Born on January 3rd, 1938, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Bob lived a life marked by love, dedication to his family, faith, and integrity. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who touched the lives of many through his kindness, wisdom, generosity, and sense of humor.
Bob lived a full life surrounded by love. His passions included cooking, reading, sports (particularly the New York Football Giants), music, and family. Bob also took great pride in his contributions to the March of Dimes organization, where for many years he raised funds to support the health of mothers and babies.
Above all, he cherished his family. Bob is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Patricia Jane Holland. He leaves behind five children (Patricia, Robert Jr., Kenneth, Timothy, and Michael), 11 grandchildren (Emma, Margot, Becca, Caitlin, Lauren, Hailey, Hannah, Hope, Sam, Ava, and Patrick), and one great-grandchild (Scottie), who will forever remember his love, guidance, and unwavering support.
His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched and the values he instilled in those who knew him. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will remain in our hearts forever.
A memorial service will be held at 11am on July 8th, 2026, at St. Olaf Catholic Church, Williamsburg, VA. A celebratory luncheon will be held at Opus 9, Williamsburg, VA at 12:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, please honor Bob’s legacy by making a charitable donation to The March of Dimes Foundation.
May he rest in peace.
